I began my martial arts training in 1972 in Black Tiger Gung Fu. In 1975, I transferred to White Tiger Bok Fu Do, where I was first introduced to the practice of Iron Palm and began training in it. Shortly thereafter, I met a traditional herbalist from China who taught me the foundational methods for preparing Dit Da Jow and martial liniments. I continued studying and training in both disciplines, along with a variety of other martial arts, ever since.
In 1989, fellow students observed the striking and breaking power I had developed and began asking how they could train to achieve similar results. During these discussions, Dit Da Jow naturally came up, and many expressed interest in obtaining it for their own practice. In the beginning, I simply gave it away—but as demand increased and I could no longer afford to do so, I decided that I had to begin charging for it. In 1989, that decision led me to establish Seven Gates Supply.
