Cowboy Jow Western Liniment is made with Western herbs—rather than Chinese herbs. Authentic Dit Da Jow has roots in Chinese herbal traditions, but similar liniment-style recipes developed in the American West using the plants available here.

Native American peoples used herbs for healing injuries and many types of ailments with great success. As settlers moved to the West, they brought their own herbal knowledge and remedies, including folk traditions and European sources. Over time, these approaches blended with the healing herbs already used by various indigenous cultures—forming the kind of Western herbal tradition Cowboy Jow is inspired by.

Cowboy Jow is excellent for bruises and contusions (including both skin and deeper tissue), and it can help relieve soreness and discomfort. Apply it to the affected area as needed to support healing and reduce pain.
